New York: Bryant Union Company, 1902. softcover. GOOD. Cover has a small chip out of the front right top corner. The back cover has two large chips out of it, so about 1/5th of the back cover is missing. The original foldout map is a largely intact with some very short tears along the fold, less than 1"" long. Some leaves are separated from the binding, but they are all present. The map itself is EIGHT FEET LONG. It has some splits at the folds but is all there and still connected. The map of the Hudson goes from the mouth at Kingston all the way up tp Troy New York. It includes names of streams, islands, and nearby mountains with elevation. It also highlights prominent homes along the river as of 1894. Some of the landmarks are also labelled with the Native American names as well. The back of the map has a panorama, some advertisement, and several local legends including the Storm King, Spuyten Duyvil, Stony Point, The Old Man in the Mountain, and Washington Irving's Headless Horseman. The guide book contains additional photos and short descriptions of landmarks along the Hudson. Map is eight feet long by 5.5""
