Paris: L'Alliance Cinématographique Européenne, 1934. Vintage one-color French program for the 1934 German film, here under the French title "Le Chateau Saint-Hubert." Text in French.
Based on the 1895 German allegorical novel "Schloß Hubertus" by Ludwig Ganghofer.Count Egge, an arrogant noble, disappointed in the common choices of his children, experiences an apostasy after being blinded by an eagle at his mountain retreat. Remade in 1954, directed by Helmut Weiss, and starring Friedrich Domin and Marianne Koch, and in 1973, directed by Harald Reinl, and starring Robert Hoffmann and Carl Lange.
6.5 x 9 inch Bi-fold. Very Good plus, with a diagonal crease to the upper left and two small diagonal creases to the bottom right.
