First edition, with corresponding 1941 dates to the title and copyright pages and the publisher's 'one' in parentheses (1) on the final page. Inked number to spine, otherwise externally unmarked; library blindstamp to the title page and inked numbers to the contents page, along with withdrawn stamps to the rear endpapers. Moderate edgewear, a touch of dampstaining to the top edge. Hinges solid; binding square. Uncommon.
