Thwaites was a notable historian and Secretary of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Hardcover, full green cloth, decorated in gold & dark green, as pictured; design by Frank Hazenplug, with his 'H' monogram. Shows some wear, corners bumped; light rubbing, pencil gift note ("Bob from Nick") on the back of the frontispiece; plate at page 214 has a chip, image not affected. Text clean; xx, 378 pages + ad; index, 23 maps & plates as called for. . Second Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 5¼" by 7½".
