Book Condition: Very Good+; light shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; small splash stain on textblock top; thumbing smudge to fore edge. No DJ. Black grained cloth boards and spine with bright orange lettering on the spine and front board; orange rules; Household Design on front board. Food photos for endpapers. 320 pp 4to. The Household Searchlight Recipe Book was first printed in 1931 and was printed in 28 editions with the final one being in 1958. Due to the demand by new homemakers the 1958, 28th Edition was reprinted in 1977. Recipes in the book were originally submitted by readers of Household Magazine and each one was tested for accuracy, dependability, palatability, and balance or readily obtainable and economical ingredients before being included in the book. A clean very presentable copy.
