About This Item

New York: Random House, 1958. Pictorial hardcover binding is clean square and tight. Interior primarily clean and bright, front illustrated endpapers show horse heads of The Black, Flame, Satan, Black Minx and Bonfire. This book is MISSING LAST PAGE OF STORY; however, we have copied last page from another copy of this title and taped it in. We did this since it is a SIGNED copy - Walter Farley did not sign many books which makes this a scarce copy. Inscription reads: To my good friends Mary Grace and James - Walt Farley. This copy has the reprint dustjacket with series # F-14 on spine. Clean and crisp DJ. Not price-clipped. 175 pages. Alec Ramsey and the Black's trainer Henry Dailey tells the story of Bill Dailey, his older brother who was an original horse whisperer - a horse tamer.. Illus. by Schucker, James. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Inscribed by Author(s). Hardcover. Very Good/Good.

Synopsis

Walter Farley wrote 21 books in the famous Black Stallion series. He died in 1989.
