Boston: Little Brown & Co., 1964. First Edition. First printing Near fine in red cloth covered boards with gilt decorations and text on the spine and front board. A small quarto measuring 1" by 7 1/2 inches. In a very good+ unclipped dust jacket with a 1/4 inch closed tear at the upper fore corner of the spine area which is also slightly tanned. "An Atlas and Personal Commentary on the writing of the Hornblower Saga...." (from the title page). Now becoming quite scarce as only 8,000 copies were printed. The story behind the making of the Hornblower sagas with maps and illustrations by Samuel H. Bryant. 149 pages.
