New York: Orange Judd and Company, 1871. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. 12mo. 226 pages, [2] pages advertisements, [1]. Green pebble cloth hardcover ruled in blind on the covers. Gilt title and decorations on the spine. Illustrated with frontispiece and illustrations in text. The cloth covers have faded spots and light rubs. The interior contents are in very good condition. Not first state - "is out" located line 3 page 71. Gift inscription written on the front blank end sheet - "Presented to Elijah A. Brown, by his father on the 30th June 1873. Price $1.25." Elijah Alexander Brown's father was Joseph Emerson Brown, Civil War Governor of Georgia.
