Pictorial hardcover with faux brick red leather trimmed in gilt, gilt spine title, map endpapers, black slipcase trimmed in gilt. Fine condition, looks and feels new and unread, tight binding, clean pages, no names or other markings. The slipcase is also in fine condition, structurally sound.. Hard Cover. Fine/Fine Slipcase. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
Synopsis
The Odyssey (Greek: Ὀδύσσεια, Odýsseia) is one of two major ancient Greek epic poems attributed to Homer. It is, in part, a sequel to the Iliad, the other work traditionally ascribed to Homer. The poem is fundamental to the modern Western canon. Indeed it is the second—the Iliad being the first—extant work of Western literature.
