Hampton Plantation was built in 1730 beside the southern bank of the Santee River in South Carolina. Hampton has hosted British Colonel Banastre Tarleton, General Francis Marion's headquarters during the Revolution and George Washington in 1791. Eleven chapters of stories and remembrances followed by black and white photographs. 167 pp. <br><br>CONDITION: Light blue boards, gilt title on cover and spine. Edge and corner wear, rubbing and soiling. Blue end papers feature reproduction of a map of the area. Mild foxing rear endpapers. Dust jacket is missing; jacket flaps are laid in. Free of writing or notations. Full refund if not satisfied.
