New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1935. Undetermined. very good. 1st Edition. xvii, 346pp. Octavo. Brick red cloth with black lettering on spine and front cover. Some light bumping to spine and corners. Fading on spine and light wear to boards. Very light discolouration to endpapers. B/W frontis. B/W illustrations throughout. Light wear to outer edge of text block with top edge reddish and long outer edge roughly trimmed. In dust jacket, worn, especially around edges and price clipped. Dust jacket has some soiling and creasing, discolouration along bottom edge, mild chipping and closed tears along edges. There is a large (2 1/4" X 1 3/4") chip at top of spine and a 4 inch closed tear running onto front of jacket. There has been a small amount of professional restoration done to jacket. A nice copy. very good Illustrated by the author. A true first edition as signified by the Scribner's A. Will James was a cowboy, cattle rustler, beloved author and artist of the American West. 1935
