Newnes, London, 1963. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic & Illustrations. List of plates, introduction by author, glossary, appendices and index. Map illustrated end pages showing the nautical map for Yarmouth to St Peter Port as of June 9, 1962. The text is illustrated with black-and-white photography and illustrations. Navy blue coloured textured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrapper (wraparound) with yellow and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Title says it all. Little bumping corners and softening of the back strip edges. Some sunning to the lower back strip edge. Light tanning and foxing of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Faint foxing of the end pages along with some sunning with gift inscription to the verso of the free front end page. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Creasing of the edges with 1/4 inch tear to the top left hand corner of the back strip. Sunning of the back strip and there is a horizontal crease to the front edge of the front panel. Vertical creases to the front fold over panel along with foxing; with foxing and sunning present to both fold over panels. The dustwrapper is somewhat loose. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
