About This Item
The Holy Sinner is the last book written (in 1951) by the German writer and Nobel Laureate Thomas Mann (1975-1955). It explores the origins of evil, original sin, and evil's connection with magic.
This is the first American edition, also dated 1951.
336 pages. Dark blue boards with the title impressed on the cover and gold lettering on spine.
The original owner signed the front endpaper. Minor darkening of the paper at the edges.
Other than that, it's in mint condition.
Note: I also have a leather-bound copy of Mann's The Magic Mountain listed here, as well as The Beloved Returns, and a first edition of Joseph the Provider.
