'From the Holy Mountain' is a historical travel book, focussing on the affairs of the Eastern Christians, and the Byzantine journey undertaken by two monks in the spring of 587 A.D. Illustrated with eight pages of plates, two of which are in colour. Written by William Dalrymple, a Scottish historian, who has written many acclaimed history works. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, near fine, with minimal bumping to the extremities. Dustwrapper with light edge wear. Small crack to the front hinge, as is usual with this work. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
