Cassell & Company, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Stated. Fully bound in brown leather with five raised bands to spine and gilt lettering. Contains numerous black and white illustrations and colour plates. Red text block edges. Mild cracking to front hinge, with slight loss, exposing binding thread. Binding throughout remains firm with all pages attached. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Faint black marks to pages, on occasion. Plates and illustrations remain bright and clear with mild tanning and foxing. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Leather peeling to all surfaces with loss to spine, edges, and corners. Noticeable marks and scratches overall. Gilt lettering is darkened.
