London, John Bill, and Christopher Barker, 1663. Hardback, approx 7 x 4.5 inches. In black full calf leather binding, Blind decorative paneled boards, and blind decorations and raised banding to spine. Marbled endpapers, page edges darkened. In very good condition. Repairs to corners and spine. Endpapers darkened with a couple of neat inscriptions. Inscribed on decorative halftitle “Sarah Ann Grace Fullard, 1902.” Later decorative coloured ‘Lords Prayer’ plate pasted in opposite at front. Some minor darkening and handling marks to pages, a couple of spots and stains, stain scross 2 pages Nehemiah ch.X. some spots to Genesis, small tear to edge/margin of plate 11 in Genesis. N(No loss to print.) Pressed fern between Proverbs Ch2. Some loose newpaper clippings inside. Binding tight and sound. Else a very good early illustrated bible. Unpaginated, with 100pp Psalms. Red lining to pages. Illustrated with a decorative title and halftitle pages, over 144 full-page engraved plates, including portraits, includes 40 plates each with 2 illustrations.
