[Brooke] Gilpin (1853-1929) was vice president of the National Wholesale Drug Association and commodore of the Baltimore Yacht Club, Maryland. He married Hattie Newcomer (1861-1942), daughter of Benjamin F. Newcomer, president of the Baltimore Safe Deposit and Trust Company, on 27 October 1886.
