London: Printed for Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, and Brown, 1817. Leather bound. Fair. Quarto. Volume II only. Poor to fair condition. [1], 595 pages. Text is printed in double columns. Illustrated with frontispiece, engravings, and maps. Brown leather binding is so worn the texture now resembles suede leather. Worn leather title labels on the spine. Front board and inscribed right front flyleaf are detached. Rear cover and hinge in good condition. Maps include a two page map titled "Chart of Campaigns"; folding map of Spain and Portugal; Approx. 12" x 10" map of the French Empire; one page map of the 1815 Belgic Campaign; a two page map of the 1815 Europe Treaty of Vienna; and a 16" x 10" folding map titled "United States of America Exhibiting the Seat of War on the Canadian Frontier from 1812 to 1815. Folding maps are creased with light edge wear and toning. The North American map has an approximate 1.5" closed split at one of the folds. Text has occasional foxing, toning, and some brown stains. Previous owner inscription on the right front flyleaf reads "Elihu Armitage's Book Cawthorne's Mill." A purple ink stamp on the front paste down has the names "Jeptha Thorton Thackey." Text block is secure. Volume II only.
