A complete three volume set of The History of the War with Russia, illustrated throughout. A complete three volume set, across two books, with the second and third volumes in one book. The History of the War with Russia: Giving Full Details of the Operations of the Allied Armies by Henry Tyrrell is an extensive history of Europe. With a chronological table of events of the war to volume one. Each volume has a frontispiece and a vignette title page. With thirty-two plates to volume one, sixteen of seventeen plates to volume two with the plate of Capture of the Malakhoff facing page 253 missing. Nine of eleven plates present to volume three with the plates of the View of Balaklava and Admiral Lyons missing.Collated. In half calf with marbled boards. Externally, sound with marks and fading to the boards. Rubbing to the extremities, joints and spine. Rear hinge of vol 2 is starting but remains firm. Internally, generally firmly bound with generally bright pages with scattered spots throughout the volumes. Good Only
