Full light brown calf binding, double gilt edge detail to front and back boards, banded spine, title is gilt lettering on a maroon background, gilt decoration to panels, minor rubbing to extremities including corners, all edge marbled, 678 pages, marbled endpapers, prize bookplate to front paste-down, tissue protected portrait frontispiece, 78 pages, black and white illustrations, minor foxing in places but generally very smart, clean and tight. .
