1822 hardcover as pictured. This is a beautifully bound volume that has seen heavy wear. Full brown leather binding with embossed designs and gold stamping on covers and spine. Three raised bands and a red label with title. Significant edge wear particularly at corners and ends of spine. Binding is firm. Front hinge was reinforced with clear tape. Since then, front board and FFEP have detached from spine. Beautifully marbled endpapers. Inscription and owner's name on FFEP. First and last few pages are heavily mottled. Remainder of text is age tanned and lightly mottled. Some pages dogeared. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
