Description:
New York: Prentice-Hall, Inc., 1944. Originally published in 1935, this is a Third Printing from 1944. The book is in Very Good condition (click on photo). It is bound in a blue green cloth with gilt spine lettering. The cloth shows some shelf rubbing along the edges and spine tips. The binding is tight and the pages are bright, although some pages have light pencil underlining, and the Table of Contents has pencil check marks, all easily erased. One page has a repaired tear. There are no other tears or stains. The signature of the former owner is on the front free endpaper. The book includes a double-spread color map of Pennsylvania as frontis plus nine other black-and-white illustrations. The book traces Pennsylvania's history from 1609 to the book's publication. The book measures 5 1/2 by 8 1/8 inches and includes 828 pages.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
