Neath: John E. Richards, 1902. First edition. Hardcover. Good +. A quite neat, reasonably sound copy of this title. First edition. Quarto in publisher's original teal boards with gilt lettering to front panel and credits to spine. x - 360 pages including frontispiece, 8 additional black & white plates, numerous photographic illustrations, plans, maps, etc. Introduction by the author, index; appendix including errata; and List of Subscribers (256). Corners bumped, tear at foot and wear at top of spine, some scuffing and marks to boards. Front hinge split. Gift inscription in ink on front pastedown from John Rees (noted in subscriber list as Leather Merchant, Penydre House Neath) to John Hopkins of Richmond, Victoria dated Feb. 27th 1901. (Prior to stated publishing date).
