Original navy blue boards with gilt titles and decorations to spine,, some wear/marking to covers, split to base of spine, dust/browning to edges, top edge rough-cut as issued, some stains and foxing to pages, damp-stain to edges of prelims, but otherwise internally generally good; frontispiece of Ludlow Castle (some foxing). 3 other plates found (4 called for?), with foxing and off-setting, plus plan of Ludlow Castle. No tissue guards. One ink annotation noted to margin. Extra postage required outside Europe.. First Edition. Hardcover. Good.
