Hardback book bound in brown cloth-covered boards with gilt title on the spine. No defects to note on the book. The dust jacket has a 1/2" tear on lower front corner. The history of Farmington was originally published in 1885 and included the history from 1776 to 1885. This is a new Edition reprint with foreword by Gwilyn R. Roberts. Book contains a few black and white photos. Includes a fold-out map in a pocket inside back cover featuring the 1874 plot plan with names of earliest landowners. This map was faithfully copied in 1955 from the original. Great genealogical reference for anyone with ties to Maine. 683 pages plus a one page Errata page and a 2 page topographical map of the town..
