Engraved frontis portrait and seven additional plates. Important, comprehensive history of Elizabeth, New Jersey and early Union County including 13 chapters on the 17th century and proprietorshipsand extensive information on the later colonial and American Revolutionary period. A tight example, some sunning to the spine and edges, shallow, repaired strip of loss head edge of spine. Ownership signature top edge of title page and foxing to the frontis and title. Discrete vintage bookplate front pastedown. A very acceptable copy.
