About This Item

Concord, North Carolina: Published by the War Records Collection Committee and Sponsored by Cabarrus County, 1947. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 4to. 430, (2) pages. Hardcover bound in blue cloth. Moderate wear to the binding. The edges of the spine show heavier rubbing. A sound copy with secure hinges and clean text. There are some color illustrations of insignia at the front and some black and white photos, mostly portraits of soldiers. This is NOT a textual or narrative history. It is more of a listing of soldiers from Cabarrus County, North Carolina, living and dead, who served in the wars. The most detail is from WWII and WWI, and the bulk of the photos are of soldiers who died in WWII. The details of the soldiers becomes thinner for those in the earlier conflicts.

About Pages Past Used and Rare Books

Pages Past is a small used & rare bookshop located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 1996 we have been serving the Triad community as well as customers from around the world. We have around 15-20,000 volumes in our shop. We specialize in North Carolina, Virginia, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies, and the simply unusual. We very likely have the oldest books in Greensboro; we keep a nice selection of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books.
