Bound with leather over the spine and corners, 5 raised bands along the spine, black leather title plate with gilt titles and gilt lines along edges of the raised bands. Green cloth covered boards. Some rubbing to boaards, top layer of leather scraped here and there, including to a small area of the title plate. Marbled page edges all around, and marbled end papers. Hinge and text-block tight. Owner's bookplate inside the front. Silk ribbon attached. Some light foxing to the preliminary pages thereafter remarkably clear, pages smooth and clean, with lovely wood-cuts within text. Artist not named.
