Beige coloured end pages. The text is copiously illustrated with colour and black-and-white illustrations and photographs. Colour illustrated laminated boards with dark red and white coloured titles to the front panel and dark red coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as the underlying boards, with white and dark red coloured titles to the front panel and dark red coloured titles to the back strip. The title says it all really, but there is at the beginning of the text pastimes and toys of Aboriginal Australians before white settlement, and there is many illustrations of the sport that obsesses Australians from white settlement to the publication of the book. Rubbing of the book corners and of the back strip edges. Gift inscription to the top left-hand corner of the free front end page. Age toning of the text block edges. Chipping to the top dustwrapper corners with fading of the back strip. A small, 0.25 ", tear to the top right-hand corner of the back strip with associated creasing.
