Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1885. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 8 3/4 x 11/ 1/4 inches. 2 vols. Vol. 1: xx + 665 pages. Vol. 2: xiii + 696 pages. Both volumes illustrated. Both volumes have a small ownership stamp inside the front cover, and the first few pages of volume 2 have a light dampstain. Otherwise, the pages are bright and clean and free from marking, soiling and staining. Both volumes rebound in matching gray buckram with black spine labels. Covers lightly worn. The front cover and spine of volume 1 is bleached by damp. A very good copy of this monumental and excellent history of the American Episcopal Church. A scarce work.
