The covers are slightly rubbed & soiled with some slight darkening at edges and to spine. There is a small slit to the paper along the front joint at head of spine. 69 pages and 28 plates, mostly portraits and facsimiles. Very good. <p>First edition of this classic work in its field. An important reference tool which itself is printed from silvertype plates produced by the Silverstone Stereotyping process.
