US: The Foote & Davies Co, 1894. Hardcover. Good +. Signed and inscribed by the author at title page. Brown cloth over boards with gilt particulars to spine and front board; debossed floral decoration to boards. Pages are tanned at edges, but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Text block is soiled and foxed. Boards are moderately to heavily soiled; chipping to cloth at spine; rubbing, bumping and fraying to corners and ends of spine. Binding is tight and square. Clear plastic dust jacket has cracking and chipping to corners and ends of spine; previous owner's tape repair to tail of spine.
