Warmholtz 3048. Réne-Auber de Vertot (1655-1735) was a French historian. The first edition of this very influential work abroad on social transformations in Swedish history. This work was published as early as 1695 and was then printed in a number of editions, new editions were published as late as 1850. It deals almost exclusively with Gustav Vasa's takeover and reformation, and extends to Gustav Vasa's death.
