Contemporary full tree calf, spine with gilt diced tooling and contrasting label, boards gilt tooled at edges, blue sprinkled edges (light wear at corners and bottom edge of upper board chafed - otherwise VG). Pp. [xvi] + 190 + [96] + [2] blank, illus with engraved frontispiece and folding genealogical plate (small puncture at centre of title page and some neat inscriptions in contemporary hand on title and in margins; previous owner's engraved card on front paste-down).
