Brown leather on board binding tight & square w/ rubbing, edge wear, corner fray- none severe; concave shallow nick to back cover- 1"" x 1/4 "" deep. Spine rubbed, but gold author name still legible. 2 partial gutter cracks- binding stiil totally attached & supple at hinges. Multicolor marble grain endpapers bright & glossy- appear hand-painted. Text is tight, clean & unmarked w/ light to moderate toning. Copy still solid & displays well.
