About This Item

London, United Kingdom: Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1966. A very nice first edition copy which has been signed to the title page by Phyllis Bentley in blue ink. Lightly foxed to the text block which has not affected the text itself. Housed in the typical Victor Gollancz yellow dustwrapper which retains publishers printed price on front inside flap. Minor overall signs of wear and handling commensurate with age. A presentable example. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. This is the third instalment in the trilogy about the Oldroyds and Morcars which began with INHERITANCE and continued with THE RISE OF HENRY MORCAR although it stands alone as a novel in its own right. A scarce SIGNED first impression copy from one of Yorkshire's finest. Signed by Author. First Edition. Very Good/Near Very Good. FIRST EDITION.
