London: John Lane: The Brodley Head, 1900. 1st. Hardcover. Very good. Bound in publisher's original purple cloth with spine and front cover stamepd in white. Top edge in gilt, fore and bottom edge uncut. Spine shows considerable fading with slight chipping to top and bottom edge. Mild fading to extremities of covers. Previous owner's name on pastedown has been blacked out. Front free endpaper shows foxing where what appears to of been a newspaper clipping was once tipped in and has since fallen out. 5 x 7 1/2 inches. 421 pages.
