About This Item
Item Is in VERY GOOD to GOOD condition with some normal minor shelf wear expected for a vintage book. The pages inside are very good with no writing; no dog-earing or bent pages. The paper protectors which are over each print in the book are in very good shape. One has a crease, but it is not obtrusive. All 8 prints are in wonderful shape-very little to no fading, no tears or rips. Colors still vibrant. There is some yellowing on the outer edges of the pages, but not to the text or pictures. There is some discoloration from glue bleed-through on the inside first and last page, but it doesn't stain the book-it is just old dried glue showing through. There is also a faint smudge and fleck spots on page 11, but they are minor and don't bleed through. There is no dust jacket. The pink and orange-patterned hardback cover boards are covered in canvas and are in GOOD condition with fraying along the front board where the cover meets the spine. In one place it is torn. it has minimal fraying along the top, side, and bottom back edges, and at the foot and crown edge of the spine due to shelf rubbing. No dented or bent corners. Spine is GOOD-still tight with a library binding-no loose pages. No creasing. (Please see pictures as they are part of the description of the book.). Overall in VERY GOOD condition for a 1929 book. Art by the Japanese master Hiroshige, with 8 prints of his work, with an introduction by by Jiro Harada. 1929 HB, Color Illustrations.
