Missouri: The Bethany Press, 1954. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Orange cloth hardcover 1st edition, lacking dustjacket. Clean and mild ex library copy with removal of a pocket to the front pasted down and two library stamps at the front enpaper and at the top of the title page. A good copy with general wear to the cover edges and spine tips. Some minor discoloration to the orange cloth. Binding and hinges are solid but lacking tightness and the pages are clear of writing or marks although there is some thumbing to the front edge of the textblock. The last few pages have a crease to the bottom edge. Glossary at rear, mapped endpapers, 224 pp. The story of Dr. Hira Lal who oversaw medical treatment and training at the Christian Hospital Mungeli in the company or absence of missionaries from the Disciples of Christ.
