About This Item
In 1938, on the eve of war, a Nazi expedition set out through British India on a mission sponsored by SS chief Heinrich Himmler himself. Its aim was to find the origins of the Aryan race , high in the sacred mountains of Tibet. Thousands of extraordinary photos were taken, some shown here for the first time. And the inevitable hostility between the Nazis and the British foreshadowed the horrific conflict to come. A fascinating story.
Book is in very good condition. Pages are intact, unmarked and uncreased with just some light tanning. Cloth covers are clean and tight. The dust jacket is unclipped, complete, and in a very good state with just a small indent on the front cover. Now covered in professional removable clear book cover. 422 pp with B&W illustrations, notes, bibliography and index
