This is a marvelous limited edition print ONE OF ONLY 26 LETTERED COPIES FROM A LARGER LIMITED EDITION OF 150 NUMBERED COPIES ALL SIGNED BY SENDAK. This was produced in honor of Sendak's visit to West Virginia in 1997. The large image measuring approximately 10 x 7" is printed on paper 11 x 10", printed by Parchment Gallery Graphics and housed in an envelope with a printed label. Also enclosed is a one page printed colophon describing the history of the print. Depicted is a Wild Thing wearing a hillbilly hat and waving a lariat surrounding the word "BOO!" This would make a wonderful addition to any Sendak collection.

Fine in original publisher's envelope. One of 150 copies numbered and Signed by Sendak (of a total printing of 176), reproducing a lithographed large black-and-white pencil drawing of Maurice Sendak's "Hillbilly Wild Thing"; with separate colophon leaf as issued. The colophon leaf delivers printed text about the artist, and the origins of this print, produced in honor of Mr. Sendak's visits to West Virginia and particularly for the art exhibit 'Doubly Gifted, Writers Who Paint'. The image shows one of Sendak's "Wild Things" dressed in a hat and twirling a lasso, and he has captured a "Boo!" in his lariat. *OCLC* lists no institutional holdings and has no citation for this publication.
