New York: William Morrow, 1943. Solid copy in its first printing. Unmarked clean copy. Orange cloth with black lettering. Hard to find. Author later wrote a classic novel in 1946 "Build my Gallows High" which was the basis for "Out of the Past" probably the best Film Noir ever made. This book clearly read but still pretty square and hinge pretty strong. Jacket is a professionally made facsimile with no flaws that is protected in transparent mylar. . First American Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fine (Facsimile Dust Jacket). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
