Gilt school crest to front board. Spine with 5 raised bands, gilt decorated compartments and dark green leather title label. Marbled page edges and matching endpapers. Prize label to verso of the front board: "Awarded to Geoffrey W. Cook For History & Geography Form VI 1922-23 R. L. Gilligham M.A. Headmaster." Clean text, illustrations and folding map. VG. ** Family history records show that Geoffrey Walter Cook was born on November 7, 1907, his father, Walter, was 26 and his mother, Rose, was 23. His Father's occupation was: Butcher. They lived at Pelham Villa, Sudbury Rd, Greatt Cornard, Sudbury, Suffolk. He married Nora Watt in 1933 in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales. He died on May 12, 1964, in Hendon, Middlesex, England, at the age of 56, and was buried in London."
