Andrew, George T. (illustrator). First Edition. Jean Ingelow (1820 - 1897), was a poet and novelist. Ornate Victorian binding with green cloth over bevelled boards; black, gilt and silver decoration; gilt lettering. All edges of leaves gilt trimmed. Illustrations after Harry Fenn, F. Childe Hassam, and others ""drawn and engraved under the supervision of George T. Andrew."" Spine and boards moderately faded and rubbed, some separation at the bottom.. Text clean. Appears that a flower was pressed in the last two blank pages as there is a brown ghost image that appears to be flowers and a ribbon. Bookplate for Pearl Welsh inside front fly leaf.
