Signed and inscribed by the author: "For Louise Jacob, with friendly wishes and many thanks for listening to Lloyd Alexander". Jacket is price clipped but the price of $3.97 present on front flap. There is a sticker on the front of the jacket reading "Holt Library Edition" but this is NOT a library copy. Newberry Medal winner. Evaline Ness illustrated jacket. Light toning to the jacket. Nice copy.
Synopsis
The High King is the last book in the Chronicles of Prydain fantasy series of books by Lloyd Alexander. It was awarded the Newbery Medal for excellence in American children's literature in 1969.
