Blue dust jacket with white lettering over green cloth covered boards, gilt lettering to spine. Twenty four black and white plates throughout. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Light foxing, tanning and thumb marking to edges of pages otherwise in good overall condition. Boards have mild shelf wear to board edges with spine ends creased and bumps to corners. Unclipped jacket has visible edge wear with some tears and small missing pieces.
Geoffrey Winthrop Young was a British climber, poet and educator, and author of several notable books on mountaineering.
