About This Item

New York: Monthly Review Press, 1952. First American Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo (364 pages, map, notes, index.). Signed presentation on front end paper from Stone to Amos Perlmutter (professor of political science at American University & editor of The Journal of Strategic Studies). Stone refuted all the contemporary official and press accounts, using published material from the country’s top newspapers and the State Department. Much of the book is now accepted by most historians. A very good copy, without dust jacket, spine faded, boards slightly scuffed, light shelf wear.
