Comptroller General of his Majesty's works and author of a late dissertation on oriental gardening. Enriched with explanatory notes, chiefly extracted from that elaborate performance. The thirteenth edition. London: Printed for J. Almon; 1774. 16 pages. Bound with 2]. - An heroic postscript to the public, occasioned by their favourable reception of a late Heroic Epistle to Sir William Chambers, Knt, &c. By the author of that epistle. The fifth edition. London: Printed for J. Almon; 1774. 14, [2] pages. - The two works are bound together in half green leather and marbled paper covered boards. The spine is a bit rubbed and the front board lightly faded. There is a binder's ink stamp to the first front free end paper - de Coverly. Small bookplate to the front pastedown - Durdans. Ink name to the head of the first work - J. Bickerton Williams 1837 and H. Burton. An ink stamp also to head of that page - Rosebery Durdans - and embossed blindstamp for Durdans also. The first title has 1st written in ink at the foot of the title page and the 2nd work has 2nd written at the foot of the half title page. There are several binder's blanks bound in at the front and rear of the volume. Spotting to pages..
