Broadhurst. 1.15 kg; XVIII, 762 pages, last page blank, illustrated end pages, text is illustrated with black-and-white illustrations, mostly half page, fragments of the original colour illustrated dust jacket are now protected. The front board is blind stamped, and the top edge of the text block is tinted yellow (lemon?). There are tape stains to three of the edges of the front end page which also shows signs of offset tanning, and the rear end page has a 3.0 inch tear and the loss of a triangular piece measuring approximately 0.5 inches on a side. Otherwise, aside from the normal darkening of the edges of the text block, the book is in good order. No indication as to the translator.
