Kingsley's classic retelling of the Greek stories of Perseus, the Argonauts and Theseus, in a prize binding from Wadham House, Hale. With a bookbinder's label for James Galt and Co, Manchester, to the front pastedown. Featuring a number of illustrations by the author. With an ink inscription to the front blank reading: 'Midsummer 1903. Form II v. Second Prize awarded to E.N. Aske. H. Aske M.A. Principal'. In a full calf prize binding, with marbled endpapers. Externally, a little shelfwear, with slight fading to spine. Internally, firmly bound. Bright and clean, with just the odd small spot. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
